HMI Panel Problems: When Should You Replace Your Operator Panels?
HMI Panel Failures: When Should You Replace Your Operator Panels?
HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panels are at the heart of industrial automation, enabling machine operators to monitor production lines in real time and intervene when necessary. Loss of touchscreen sensitivity, dead pixels on the display, or communication port failures can make it impossible to control the machine.
Particularly in sensitive processes such as packaging and CNC production lines, it is important to act proactively rather than waiting for the panels to fail completely. Sourcing a compatible circuit board, electronic card, or display for a faulty HMI panel is significantly more cost-effective than replacing the entire machine.
For older-generation machines, finding a refurbished HMI panel from the same series is the safest and fastest solution in terms of software compatibility and the seamless transfer of parameters.
